Endangered Australia

Endangered Australia

I recently wondered whether the South Australian Government had altered its laws so people like Aboriginal Waylon Johncock could not stone wombats to death.
I emailed what I thought to be the appropriate authority and they replied to advise talking to the police and gave me the phone number to call.
Fully anticipating to find SA was now insisting its citizens conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the 21st century and the laws of Australia I was horrified when I was told this man and others like him could conduct themselves in a manner abhorrent to the rest of Australia because on Aboriginal land the law was that determined by the elders.
He can still stone wombats to death.
What a crock!

  1. Life and Death in Pre-Contact Aboriginal Australia

            1. William D. Rubinstein

When Europeans first settled in Australia in 1788, they encountered an Aboriginal society of almost incredible barbarism and violence. This was the reality of what they found. The reasons for the violence and barbarism of Aboriginal society derive entirely, or almost entirely, from one factor alone. All of the

War effort

War effort

WW1 416,000 Australians took up arms. 1,000 Aboriginals. i.e. 0.2% of number possible.
WW2 1,000,000 Australians took up arms. 3,000 Aboriginals. i.e. 0.3% of number possible.
Today population is 3%.
Assume then 2%.
Numbers should have been 10,000 for WW1 and 20,000 for WW2.
If the rest of Australia had responded so poorly we would all be speaking German or Japanese.
If I was claiming Aboriginality I would not be mentioning how well we did in the two wars.
